    Every day, more and more customers use their mobile devices to purchase goods and services. E-commerce players are leveraging the continuous connectivity provided by wireless carriers to expand their model with m-commerce.

    Challenge

    Our customer - a major WLAN service provider to a major US city’s area – is willing to bridge the physical and the digital worlds through innovative services. The service model consisted of leveraging its connectivity data to provide brick-and-mortars stores with exclusive digital insights. Our client required a solution with fast data analytics coupled with geofencing capabilities to provide specific KPIs to large networks of physical stores.

    Intersec solution

    Following a successful proof-of-concept, Intersec GeoInsights went live in a few weeks and enabled the WLAN service provider to add contextual intelligence on top of untapped logs of connectivity data. Today, the solution collects and analyzes presence and location data in real-time directly from the WLAN network. Our client is running our library of algorithms to extract exclusive customer insights: in-store presence, time and frequency of visits, indoor paths, visited departments… In the future, he plans to provide direct access to the analytical platform directly to his retail partners.
